Despite living in Seattle for the last 9 months, I had yet to visit Gasworks Park. And while the steel remnants of another time are fascinating the view of Seattle across Lake Union is unbeatable. I captured this about 15 minutes after the sun sank below the horizon.
Inspired by watching the moon set from my desk every morning last week (yes, you read that right) I decided to photograph the flip slide of this monthly occurrence. For some reason I was battling serious lens flare, but for this shot it all came together. It was a frigid night, which seemed to quiet the beavers that call the wetlands underneath 520 home.
